Lansky Nathan's Natural honing oil, 4 oz (LOL01). Lansky's oil article: specially formulated for Lansky sharpeners and natural Arkansas bench stones; included with controlled-angle kits. Arkansas: a few drops before you sharpen, keep oiled as you work, or the stone may crack (FAQ). Alumina-oxide: oil is not required to cut; use it to lift metal filings when the hone starts to feel smooth. Diamond: do not apply oil; it clogs the coating.

Oil for Arkansas and for cleaning alumina. Leave it off diamond.
