This Sharpal strop is genuine cowhide leather on an anti-slip beech wood block. The leather strop is the last pass after stones, for honing, polishing, and burr removal on knives, chisels, and other edged tools.

Green polishing compound is included. That compound is about 1 to 2 microns. Use light, edge-trailing strokes on the leather.
